The failure of the Biden administration can be looked at in this way: failure of Afghanistan, inflation, student loans, the current recession, the attempted vaccine mandates, the border, President Biden’s dark and dangerous speech he recently gave at Constitutional Hall in Philadelphia, PA, and Biden’s record low approval numbers.
Trump broke down the issues facing everyday Americans under the Biden Administration, listing record high inflation, soaring energy prices, supply chain shortages, increased crime, the “disappearing” southern border and increased government spending that is “pouring fuel” on the inflation fire.
“But Americans will no longer tolerate it. The thugs and tyrants attacking our movement, and there’s never been a movement even close in the history of the United States, have no idea of the sleeping giant that they have awoken.”
Republicans have potential to win big
Given the complete disaster of the Biden administration, Republicans have the potential for a surprisingly big victory come this November’s midterm elections, but will they blow it?
Biden is trying to convince Americans to vote for his party. When leading a kickoff rally and a fundraiser on Sept. 13, 2022 in Rockville, MD 75 days out from the midterm elections, Biden tried to convince Democrats of a difficult two years ahead if GOP wins control of Congress, further comparing MAGA Republican ideology to “semi-fascism.”
“You have to choose,” Biden added. “Will we be a country that moves forward or a country that moves backward?”
The United States already has militarized police, sophisticated surveillance, and ordinary citizens with little say in what goes on. Thus, the US has all the trappings of an all-powerful police state.
Consider the following happening, all of which have ties to activities found in a police state.
The Foundation for Government Accountability (FGA) filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for documents about the DOJ plan last year, which the DOJ refused to produce until compelled to do last Thursday, September 15, 2022, two months before the 2002 midterm elections. While it did provide a few documents, the DOJ used a loophole in the FOIA legislation to withhold the “strategic plan” for Executive Order 14019.
So while the DOJ hides information about how the federal government is intervening in the upcoming election, guaranteeing that the results will be held in suspicion, Biden, his party, and their allies in the media are claiming that the midterm election is about defending “democracy” from its opponents, and liken those who doubt election results to traitors and terrorists.
Enter Newt Gingrich
A recent survey conducted with the Convention of States Action, the Trafalgar Group found that a majority of voters, including 57 percent of Independents, say nationally, Republicans haven’t made a good enough case to earn midterm votes and must bring solutions to the table in order to win.
It isn’t enough to dislike Biden and his destructive policies over his past 21 months in office. Republicans need to outline what they plan to do if they take back the U.S. House, and hopefully also the Senate, in the coming 2022 mid-term elections.
In 1994 Midterms, Next Gingrich helped Republicans win big with his strategy to give congressional campaigns a unified, national message under the “Contract With America” His conservative plan, signed by 300-plus Republican candidates and presented at a press conference just six weeks before the 1994 midterm elections, helped Republicans easily taking control of the U.S. House and Senate, where they gained 12 governorships and regained control in 20 state legislatures.
Noted below are Newt’s 5 points outlining the Republican formula for victory in the 2022 mid-terms
First, ignore the media’s efforts to get you to focus on 2024 presidential politics and the unending effort to smear President Donald Trump. Your job is to stay focused on the issues that matter in the lives of everyday people. The cost-of-living crisis, especially the skyrocketing cost of food, comes first. The ripple effects of the cost-of-living crisis on electricity prices, gasoline prices, heating oil in the Northeast, diesel fuel, fertilizer, and other necessities should be a part of your campaign. When possible, campaign at gas stations and grocery stores. Explain big-government socialist spending as the major cause of inflation.
Second, crime may be the big sleeper issue this fall. Philadelphia is on pace to suffer from a record number of homicides in 2022. A staggering 70% of Philadelphians consider crime and safety their biggest issue. Biden said nothing about it while speaking there. Republicans might note that Pennsylvania’s Democratic senatorial candidate, John Fetterman, has two people convicted of murder on his payroll and voted to release other criminals with murder convictions from prison, even though the other members of the Board of Pardons refused to put them back on the street. In Atlanta, which now has more murders and aggravated assaults per capita than Chicago, the Democratic district attorney is focused on investigating the last election rather than locking up criminals. The same story can be told in city after city.
Third, tie the flood of illegal immigrants across the open border with the flood of illegal drugs and overdose deaths now surpassing 100,000 people per year.
Fourth, insist on the right of parents to know what is being taught to their children and what is going on in the classrooms. As high a number as 84% believe parents have an absolute right to know what is being taught to their children.
Fifth, insist on a better funded-but-reformed Pentagon to enable America to stand up to communist China. Emphasize that we need a military focused on defeating America’s enemies, not on being a woke social service center
Former Speaker of the House of Representatives Newt Gingrich is the host of the Newt’s World podcast and an author of the bestseller Defeating Big Government Socialism. More of his commentary can be found at www.Gingrich360.com .
But will establishment Republicans listen to Newt?
Concluding thoughts
Midterm elections are important because they help determine power in Congress. As stated in the Constitution, Congress is a legislative body that has the authority to make laws. As a bill only becomes law with approval from both the House and the Senate, the political party with the majority in both chambers of Congress is more likely to have their legislation passed. This is especially important when it comes to bills that impact a lot of people, like those that would protect data privacy or secure voting rights.
The important words in the above definition are, “they help determine power in Congress.”
Democrats have few positive accomplishments to point to during Biden’s first 21 months in office, but counting on the abortion issue to win the day is not what Democrats hoped it would be.
A Washington Examiner opinion editorial of Sept. 15, 2022 cites the following:
“The Hispanic exodus from the Democratic Party is not all about the border, nor is this transformation taking place exclusively in Texas.”
“Many Hispanic voters are also realizing, in the Democratic Party’s new era of unrestrained wokeness, that it has moved so far leftward and so fast that no one in the country can keep up. It should not come as a shocker that the party of unrestricted ninth-month abortions and the poisoning and mutilation of children in the name of transgenderism is suddenly getting a cool reception among a demographic group that is known for valuing family, morals, and education.”
As for the Democrat Party, the radical wing of the party has taken over. Their ideas now gripping this nation are akin to Socialism, which will kill this nation.
President Biden might claim that Republicans are undermining democracy, yet the goal of the Democrat Party is the creation of a one-party totalitarian state.
Biden ran as one who could unite this nation, but instead he has worsened the divide in this nation.
And let’s not forget that Kamala is but a heartbeat away from becoming president.
Now it is up to Republicans, and supporter of Republicans ideas and policies, to come out in mass to win back the U.S. House by large numbers, and likewise gain control of the U.S. Senate, so work can begin to bring our nation back from the brink of destruction to a place where justice is fair, accountability matters, and where other world nations both fear and respect us.
