By Martha Ruppert of Hillsboro, IL –
I am voting for Kathy Salvi because I have a big problem. I know I could rave on and on about nonsensical Democrat policies, failed programs, despicable behavior, crippling deficit, fear mongering and . . . you get the idea.
My big problem: I intensely dislike liars. I guess I am just tired of being lied to. I don’t like to be deceived. I am voting for Kathy Salvi because I CAN TRUST HER. She doesn’t need this job. She will make personal sacrifices to serve as our senator. She understands business. She loves her husband, children and grandchildren, and she loves her country. Kathy Salvi wants to serve the people of Illinois and I want someone I can trust to represent me–and my children and grandchildren.
So very many of us want change—for the better, please. (Not the changes we’ve endured since the 2020 election). I want my senators and members of Congress to be brave—to stand against policies and plans that hurt Americans. I want them to disagree with their own party, if necessary. I am convinced Kathy will do this. I know what I want from her—but can she count on any support from me? Am I willing to be brave on a much smaller scale?
I finally learned that I must do more than just vote—and complain. I must support candidates by talking to friends, campaigning locally, and by giving and raising money.
These small acts show support and encourage good people, like Kathy Salvi, who are working hard to be able to work for us. Thousands of us, donating small, affordable amounts, can fund campaigns of honesty!
Those who don’t know Kathy Salvi might think she is weak, but she is strong. Looks can be deceiving. And that’s just the kind of deception I like.
