On Sunday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), in collaboration with various federal agencies including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the U.S. Marshals descended on Chicago to carry out “targeted operations” to root out and arrest dangerous migrants who were here illegally and taking advantage of the city’s “sanctuary city” status.
President Donald Trump’s “Border Czar” Tom Homan and Acting U.S. Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove were also spotted in Chicago early Sunday – as well as television personality and psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw – who was documenting the raids as an outside observer.
On Saturday evening, Dr. Phil went on X and revealed that we would be “embedded” with Homan to witness the ICE operation in Chicago on Sunday – noting it was a “high risk mission.” McGraw also wanted to set the record straight about the raids.
“This truly is a targeted ICE mission because they are not sweeping neighborhoods like people are trying to imply.”
Ill. Gov. JB Pritzker has been falsely sounding the alarm that Homan and his team would be targeting “law-abiding” residents despite the Border Czar making it clear that they were going after the dangerous migrants with criminal records, instead.
In a post on X on Sunday at the ICE Command Center in Chicago, McGraw asks Homan if they are going into schools and arresting children.
“No sir,” replied Homan.
Late Sunday night, McGraw posted a video of ICE agents arresting a “convicted sex offender and internet predator from Thailand” in Chicago – proving once again that the objective of this operation was to go after the bad guys.
In a recap of the day’s events, Homan calls out Gov. Pritzker and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, saying,
“This governor, Gov. Pritzker and the mayor – they want to vilify the men and women of ICE. ICE saved children today. ICE saved children today. And it makes me angry the other day Gov. Pritzker went on the internet – social media saying ‘ICE was attacking our elementary school.’ He’s scaring children. He’s scaring the neighborhood and putting fear in the community.”
Homan continued,
“We’re saving children. Every sexual predator that we arrest means more safe children. So God bless the men and women of ICE.”
It’s being reported that there were over 950 arrests made in raids across the country on Sunday, including Chicago and Denver.
It’s estimated that over 20,000 migrants arrived in Chicago last year, costing more than $400 million.
